The competition took place at Shatin College, Hong Kong, on Sautrday, April 24th. The excellent facilities with three adjoining computer rooms, green screen facilitiies and just about everything else you could want, including very good refreshments provided by the school's principal, Mr John Nixon OBE, provided the perfect environment for students to work.

Students were given a choice of tasks:

  • Media - an advertising campaign for the Rainbow Project, a Hong Kong charity
  • Technical - to setup a homework diary

Most students chose the media project and produced a variety of websites, videos and posters.

We were impressed by how focused the students were and all chose to work through their lunch time. Many groups submitted work of a good quality but the judges were clear on the winners:

 

1st Place

Who put together a comprehensive advertising campaign demonstrating a mature understanding of the problem and demonstrating a broad range of technical skills in their detailed paper.
